Comprehension

TipDescriptionSample
Before WatchingAfter completing all the reading and listening of the script, have students discuss answers to the comprehension questions.  But tell them NOT to write any answers.  After watching the video have students redo the comprehension questions to see if they would change any of their answers. (Sometimes students will need to watch the video in order to fully understand the correct answer to a question.)NA

VIDEO

TipDescriptionSample
Don't Watch!Don't watch the video until you have completed all activities for the lesson.  If you watch the video first, you will loose the interest of a lot of students.  Use the audio files for any listening activities.NA
Predict the EndTeach everything except for the last scene of the video.  Then, before watching, have students predict what they think will happen in the final scene. (This works well with most videos, but not all of them so make sure you watch the full video before using this activity.)NA
